Dongbanwi Joins Forces with Kakao to Revitalize Jeju Shopping District...
Agreement Signed to Promote Culture of Mutual Growth in Jeju Region
Regular Customer Street Project Launched in Chilseong-ro Shopping District
The Commission for Shared Growth will collaborate with Kakao to support the digital transformation of shopping districts in the Jeju area.
On the 13th, the Commission announced that it signed a "Jeju Region Shared Growth Culture Expansion Memorandum of Understanding" with Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, Kakao, the Kakao Impact Foundation, and the Chilseong-ro Shopping District Promotion Business Cooperative. The Commission, Jeju Province, Kakao, and Kakao Impact pledged to cooperate to ensure the smooth implementation of the "Dangol Street Project" for the digital transformation of the Chilseong-ro shopping district.
Kakao's Dangol Street Project involves Kakao employees and professional tutors visiting stores directly to support merchants' marketing activities. Through one-on-one customized training, merchants are helped to independently open KakaoTalk channels, make reservations, and utilize Kakao services to activate their channels.
This agreement was established as the first practical case to promote a "regional shared growth culture" together with Kakao, a company rooted in the Jeju region. The Commission plans to monitor the implementation of the agreement and conduct objective performance analysis to ensure it benefits small business owners in the Jeju area.
