'Ganjeolgot Specialty Grand Festival' Held... Full of Seosaeng Local Products

The 2024 Ganjeolgot Local Specialty Festival, sponsored by Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Saeul Nuclear Headquarters (Director: So Yu-seop) and hosted by the Seosaeng-myeon Residents' Autonomy Committee (Chairman: Lee Jin-ho), will be held for two days on the 15th and 16th at Ganjeolgot Park in Seosaeng-myeon, Ulju-gun.
Marking its sixth year, the Ganjeolgot Local Specialty Festival is a large-scale event aimed at promoting and boosting the sales of local specialties produced in Seosaeng-myeon, such as Seosaeng pear, seaweed, tomatoes, anchovies, and kelp, to revitalize the local economy.
The festival will feature a variety of attractions and activities, including the promotion and sale of local specialties, performances by busking teams, programs by the Residents' Autonomy Center, a flea market and food trucks, various hands-on experiences, and celebratory performances.
On the 15th, the celebratory performances will feature Kim Heejae, Seo Jio, Jung Haeun, Soogeun, Lim Seonggil, and Elec Diva. On the 16th, Lee Chanwon, Ko Jungwoo, Jo Eunsae, Jang Yeju, and Buddy Kim will perform.
In addition, Saeul Headquarters will offer local specialties to those who present receipts showing purchases of 30,000 won or more in the Seosaeng area, and will hold an event where visitors who add the Saeul Headquarters KakaoTalk channel 'Saeullim' as a friend will receive a light stick and wet wipes.
So Yu-seop, Director of Saeul Nuclear Headquarters, said, "I hope this festival will be a great opportunity to promote Ganjeolgot, the representative attraction of Ulju-gun, and the local specialties of Seosaeng. I hope many tourists will visit and enjoy the festival, helping to revitalize the local economy."
