Uljin County Governor Son Byungbok Inspects Major Local Project Sites
Challenge for Zero Disasters and Safety Accidents in Summer
On June 11, Uljin County Governor Son Byeongbok visited five major local project sites as part of the '2024 Citizen Service Day,' conducting on-site inspections and encouraging workers in preparation for natural disasters during the summer.
He visited the Geunnam Sanpo drainage pump station to inspect the facilities through temporary operation, and checked the safety of nearby residents while touring the Eubnam-ri sabang dam, which was completed last year as part of the wildfire recovery project.
He also visited the spring reforestation area in Howol-ri, which was damaged by wildfire, to check the planned site and seedlings, and inspected the safety management at the Hwabangcheon maintenance project bridge construction site.
At the site of the expansion project for the Nagog 5-ri local water supply area in Buk-myeon, he asked workers to proceed with caution, emphasizing that the water supply construction is directly related to the basic rights of the residents.
Afterwards, he visited the Buk-myeon office to encourage employees working in the field and spent time communicating with them over lunch boxes.
Governor Son Byeongbok said, "As we enter the full summer season, we will do our best to thoroughly conduct pre-safety inspections and maintain a prompt disaster response posture to protect the precious lives and property of our citizens."
Uljin County will conduct a second on-site inspection of local project sites in preparation for natural disasters on June 19.
