Chungnam Province Operates Rural Mobile Clinic Bus... Expanding Outreach Medical Services
Chungnam Province announced on the 11th that it will provide visiting medical services to rural areas.
The province was selected for the national public contest project for the Rural Visiting Medical Bus, and as a result, the budget has been more than doubled compared to last year, allowing visits to more cities and counties.
The project targets 29 locations in 12 cities and counties, including Sinpyeong-myeon in Dangjin, Sagok-myeon in Gongju, Sedo-myeon in Buyeo, and Noseong-myeon in Nonsan, and is available to all residents aged 60 and over.
The province will operate shuttle buses regularly from nearby agricultural cooperatives in the target areas to the medical examination sites, and after the examinations, it will support residents' convenient transportation.

Lee Deok-min, Director of the Provincial Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Livestock, said, "Since this is the first year that local government funds are being invested in the Rural Visiting Medical Bus project, we will carry out the project thoroughly," adding, "We will continue to do our best to ensure rural residents receive necessary medical examinations and preventive education."
