The final decision will be made after more party meetings." He also pointed out, "(The Democratic Party) is taking control of the Assembly to actively defend their vulnerable points," and said, "A prime example is the parliamentary operation aimed at defending Representative Lee Jae-myung's judicial risks, and attempts to mislead the public through control of the media and broadcasting."
Floor Leader Choo said, "Many discussions about various methods are ongoing, so it is difficult to comment at this stage," but added, "One thing we must not overlook is that the public is waiting for us to properly address livelihood issues," and emphasized, "We share the recognition that we must work competently to achieve that."
Regarding the Democratic Party's convening of meetings for some standing committees such as the Legislation and Judiciary Committee, Floor Leader Choo stated, "The Democratic Party unilaterally forced the election of standing committee chairpersons through a reckless act," and stressed, "We find it difficult to recognize the standing committees and chairpersons elected in this manner, and we cannot participate in or cooperate with the ongoing parliamentary schedule."
On the Democratic Party's plan to push for government questioning and negotiation group leader speeches during the June extraordinary session, he said, "The Democratic Party seems to consider the National Assembly as their party meeting room," and added, "The election of standing committee chairpersons and other actions reflect their arrogance, thinking they can manipulate things at will with just a word." He continued, "Especially regarding parliamentary schedules such as plenary sessions, these are primarily decided through close consultations between the deputy floor leaders of both parties, but now they are showing arrogance by unilaterally notifying through party meetings, so no compromise is possible."
