Hongseong-gun Uses Postal Workers to Check on At-Risk Elderly Living Alone Facing Solitude Death Risk
Check-in and Reporting for 80 High-Risk Households
On the 11th, Hongseong-gun, Chungnam Province announced that it will promote the 'Welfare Care Package Service' for households at risk of solitary death.
In May, an agreement was signed with Hongseong Post Office, and mail carriers will directly deliver daily necessities twice a month to 80 high-risk households and check on their well-being. If any unusual circumstances are discovered, they will report immediately.
The county plans to invest 12 million won secured through a public contest project by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety to focus on managing 80 high-risk households and expand the target households after evaluation.
