Jangseong-gun 'Return-to-Farming Agricultural Startup and Housing Purchase Support Project' Application
Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 10th that it will accept applications for the ‘Return-to-Farming Agricultural Startup Fund and Housing Purchase Support Project (Loan)’ until the 1st of next month.
The ‘Return-to-Farming Agricultural Startup Fund and Housing Purchase Support Project’ is a loan program that supports funds for agricultural startups and housing for ▲returnees to farming ▲residents of rural areas who do not engage in farming (non-agricultural rural residents) ▲those hoping to return to farming who are scheduled to move to Jangseong-gun this year, provided they have completed at least 8 hours of education recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
However, those who are running other businesses or have a job are not eligible for support.
The ‘Return-to-Farming Agricultural Startup Fund’ can be used for purchasing farmland, constructing greenhouses or livestock facilities, etc., and offers loans up to 300 million KRW per household at an annual interest rate of 1.5%, with a 5-year grace period and 10-year repayment term.
The ‘Housing Purchase Support Fund’ can be used for purchasing, constructing, or expanding/remodeling houses, and loans up to 75 million KRW per household can be borrowed under the same conditions as the startup fund loan.
Eligibility requirements include ▲household heads aged 65 or younger (born on or after January 1, 1958) ▲returnees to farming, non-agricultural rural residents, or those hoping to return to farming who have lived outside rural areas for more than one year and have moved to Jangseong-gun within the last five years.
Non-agricultural rural residents are those who have lived in rural areas for more than one year but have not engaged in agriculture within the past five years, and they can only apply for the agricultural startup fund.
Those hoping to return to farming are people scheduled to move to Jangseong this year; they can apply for the project before moving in, but fund disbursement is only possible after moving to Jangseong-gun.
The loan amount is determined through a comprehensive review of business performance, credit and collateral evaluations by the lending institution within the loan limit.
The county plans to finalize the support recipients by conducting a first-round document evaluation and a second-round interview to assess business plans, commitment to project implementation, and motivation for settling in farming.
To apply for the project, applicants should first check the announcements on the Jangseong-gun website and the Jangseong-gun Agricultural Technology Center website, prepare the required documents such as the application form and business plan, and then submit them in person to the Rural Support Division of the Agricultural Technology Center.
