'Sanridan-gil' Adds 19 More Industrial Complexes... New Initiatives in a Total of 41 Complexes
3rd Public Offering Ongoing Until Early July
The Korea Industrial Complex Corporation announced on the 10th that it has additionally selected 19 industrial complexes through the second evaluation of the '2024 Industrial Complex Environmental Improvement Project,' conducted for local governments and industrial complex management organizations nationwide. With this selection, a total of 41 industrial complexes will receive new support for 69 projects by 2027, with approximately 182 billion KRW of government budget invested.
By project type, one closed or suspended factory, 23 youth culture center construction projects, 30 beautiful street creation projects, and 15 youth-friendly renewal projects for aging factories were selected. By region, 5 complexes in the Seoul metropolitan area, 3 in Busan, 9 in Gyeongbuk, 5 in Jeonnam, 4 in Chungbuk, 4 in Jeonbuk, 2 in Gyeongnam, 2 in Ulsan, 5 in Chungnam, 1 in Daegu, and 1 in Gangwon were selected.

The first evaluation prioritized applicants proposing two or more package projects to strengthen industrial complex competitiveness through the aggregation of complex and cultural facilities and to create youth-friendly spaces. From this second evaluation, additional recruitment for individual projects is underway. The Korea Industrial Complex Corporation plans to conduct a third evaluation to assess project appropriateness and select one more closed or suspended factory remodeling project and seven additional youth culture centers.
