Gas Station to Fully Cover Repair Costs and Other Expenses
At a gas station in Changwon, Gyeongnam, about 10 vehicles broke down due to rainwater entering the gasoline.
'Yonhap News' reported on the 10th that on the 8th, a crack developed in one of the gas pumps and its connected pipeline at the gas station, allowing rainwater to seep in. It was raining throughout the afternoon in the Changwon area at the time, and it appears that rainwater infiltrated through the ruptured pipeline.

A Mr. A, who towed more than 10 damaged vehicles at the time of the accident, told Yonhap News, "When I asked the car owners, they all shared the common point of having refueled at the same gas station," and explained the situation by saying, "If the engine shuts off while driving on the road, it could have led to a chain accident."
The gas station recognized the problem around 4 a.m. on the 9th and stopped using the pump contaminated with rainwater. The gas station suspects that the crack in the pipeline was caused by the weight of large vehicles entering and exiting.

They also plan to contact the affected car owners to fully cover the vehicle repair costs and repair the cracked gas pump.
