Woori Bank Announces Recruitment for Second Round of Student Loan Cashback Recipients
Woori Bank announced on the 10th that it is recruiting participants for the second round of the ‘Youth Student Loan Cashback’ program. The Youth Student Loan Cashback is a voluntary financial support program exclusively conducted by Woori Bank in the financial sector, with active cooperation from the Korea Student Aid Foundation.
Woori Bank will return up to 300,000 KRW per person, totaling 24 billion KRW, to 80,000 young people who have student loans. In March, during the first recruitment period, 40,000 individuals who had transactions with Woori Bank and 20,000 individuals without prior transactions were recruited. In this second recruitment, Woori Bank plans to recruit an additional 20,000 individuals without prior transactions.
The second recruitment will be open from today until the 31st of next month and applications can be submitted through the Woori WON Banking application, the Korea Student Aid Foundation app, or its website. This recruitment is on a first-come, first-served basis and targets customers who did not have a Woori Bank deposit or withdrawal account before the first recruitment date of March 25. Any young person who holds a student loan balance with the Korea Student Aid Foundation as of the recruitment deadline of the 31st of next month and has been faithfully repaying without delinquency can apply.
Woori Bank will verify individual cashback amounts by checking the principal balance of student loans, occurrence of delinquencies, and whether principal support has been received from other financial institutions in cooperation with the Korea Student Aid Foundation.
