Gangbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Soon-hee) is recruiting tenants for the remaining units of newlywed purchase rental housing until the 17th.
The newlywed purchase rental housing project is conducted in cooperation with Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation to promote housing stability for homeless and low-income (prospective) newlywed couples and to reduce the burden of jeonse deposits.
The number of remaining units available this time is a total of 11 units: ▲Samyang-ro 123-gil 39-1 (2 units) ▲Insu-bong-ro 72-gil 15-18 (7 units) ▲Samyang-ro 123-gil 40-12 (2 units), with a rental period of 2 years. If the tenant meets the qualifications and income requirements, they can reside for up to 20 years.
Eligibility requires being a member of a homeless household residing in Seoul as of June 3, 2024 (announcement date), and meeting one of the following conditions as of the announcement date: newlywed couple (within 7 years of marriage), prospective newlywed couple (a person planning to marry and registering the marriage before the move-in date), or single-parent family (with a child under 6 years old). The exclusive area of the units ranges from 41.07 to 47.47㎡. The rental deposit ranges from 32.02 million to 39.69 million KRW, and the monthly rent is approximately 418,500 to 517,000 KRW.
If the household meets all asset criteria, including monthly average income below 50%, total asset value below 241 million KRW, and vehicle value below 37.08 million KRW, the rental deposit and monthly rent will be lower.
The district plans to recruit tenants for the remaining units until the 17th, then conduct income and asset investigations and document verification procedures, and announce the winners and reserves on September 23. Unit assignments will be made after September 30, and contracts and move-ins will be possible from October 2024.
The district plans to prioritize Gangbuk-gu residents as the first priority tenants, and if there are remaining units, Seoul citizens outside Gangbuk-gu will be selected as second priority tenants.
