View original imageOn Saturday the 8th, the entire country will be cloudy with occasional rain.
In the Seoul metropolitan area, Gangwon Province, and Chungnam region, the rain will stop in the late afternoon, while in Chungbuk and Jeonbuk, it will cease at night. Rain will continue until early morning on the 9th in the Jeonnam region, Gyeongsang region, and Jeju Island.
There will be thunder and lightning in some areas experiencing rain, and in the afternoon, small hail less than 5mm in diameter may fall in inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, northern Chungbuk, Jeolla region, and northern Gyeongbuk.
The expected rainfall over two days from the 7th is 10 to 50mm in southeastern Gyeonggi, inland and mountainous Gangwon, and Chungbuk; 20 to 60mm in Jeonbuk; 5 to 30mm in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi (excluding southeastern parts), and the five western islands; 5 to 10mm along the Gangwon east coast; and 5 to 40mm in Daejeon, Sejong, Chungnam, and Gwangju and Jeonnam (excluding the southern coast and areas near Jirisan).
By the 9th, 20 to 60mm of rain is forecast for the southern coast of Jeonnam and areas near Jirisan, Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongnam, Daegu, Gyeongbuk, Ulleungdo and Dokdo, and Jeju Island (excluding the northern part). The northern part of Jeju Island is expected to receive 5 to 40mm of rain. The central mountain and mountainous areas of southern Jeju are expected to receive more than 80mm of rain.
Especially from early morning to evening, strong rain of around 10 to 20mm per hour is expected in Jeju Island, Jeonbuk, the southern coast of Jeonnam, and areas near Jirisan. From morning to night, the Gyeongbuk region and the southern coast of Gyeongnam will also experience strong rain of about 10 to 20mm per hour. Between morning and afternoon, other inland areas may see rain at a rate of 10mm per hour.
The morning low temperatures are forecast to be between 16 and 20 degrees Celsius, and the daytime highs between 21 and 26 degrees Celsius. Due to the rain, daytime temperatures will drop by about 2 to 5 degrees compared to the previous day (22 to 30 degrees), showing a temperature distribution around 25 degrees, slightly lower than the average (22 to 28 degrees) in most parts of the country.
