Wi Kwangjae, CEO of Geostory, Donates 10 Million Won to Dong-A University Department of Landscape Architecture Development Fund
Leading Company in Geospatial Information Industry Wishes for Department's Growth with Passion and Challenge
Dong-A University (President Lee Haewoo) announced on the 5th that Wi Gwangjae, CEO of Geostory, donated 10 million KRW as a development fund for the Department of Landscape Architecture.
The donation ceremony for the development fund was held on the 4th at the president’s office on Dong-A University’s Seunghak Campus, attended by President Lee Haewoo, CEO Wi Gwangjae, Lee Jaewon, President of Asia Aero Survey and Honorary Professor of the Department of Civil Systems Engineering, Jang Sangmok, Dean of the College of Engineering, Kim Ilgon, Vice Chairman of Choseok Construction Industry and President of the College of Engineering Alumni Association, and Kim Yongseok, Professor of the Department of Landscape Architecture.
CEO Wi Gwangjae earned his bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in Civil Engineering from Sungkyunkwan University and holds professional licenses in surveying and cadastral engineering. He founded and currently manages Geostory, a company active in the aerospace, marine information, underground space, and mobility industries. Since its establishment in 2012, Geostory has grown into a leading young company in the industry through continuous efforts.
CEO Wi said, “I was able to donate the development fund thanks to my connection with Professor Lee Jaewon, and I am also working on a joint project with Professor Kim Yongseok. I hope this will contribute to the advancement of the Department of Landscape Architecture and the improvement of educational quality, and that ambitious young people will be able to take on many challenges with passion.”
