The Daeryun Fair Trade Group plans to promptly respond to corporate fair trade issues and manage legal risks for its clients.
Key figures in the Daeryun Fair Trade Group include Won Hyeong-il (Judicial Research and Training Institute class 28), head of the Corporate Legal Group, and attorney Hyun Byeong-hee (Judicial Research and Training Institute class 25), a former commissioner of the Korea Fair Trade Commission (KFTC).
Attorney Won previously served as Executive Director and Head of the Legal Office at POSCO Holdings (formerly POSCO), and Executive Director of the Legal Office at POSCO Future M (formerly POSCO Chemical). He conducted compliance training and legal advisory activities in areas such as the Fair Trade Act, Labor Standards Act, Occupational Safety and Health Act, and Serious Accidents Punishment Act within the company’s operational departments. Specifically, he is an expert specialized in corporate legal affairs, including pre-monitoring at every stage from contract conclusion to fulfillment with partner companies, pre-review of local law violations related to overseas investments, and post-response measures.
In particular, Attorney Won has also served as a compliance officer and fair trade compliance manager. He reviewed overall corporate legal issues at POSCO Holdings and oversaw the operation of the Fair Trade Compliance Program (CP) as a fair trade compliance manager.
Attorney Hyun served two consecutive terms as a member of the KFTC Fair Trade Dispute Mediation Committee. He has direct practical experience with fair trade issues and is recognized as a fair trade expert. He is also specialized in securities and finance law, successfully handling cases such as lawsuits confirming claims for transfer and escrow payments between companies.
The group includes multi-disciplinary experts such as corporate attorneys, fair trade specialists with backgrounds in courts and prosecution, and financial law specialists to respond to corporate fair trade-related disputes.
Attorney Kim In-won (Judicial Research and Training Institute class 21), a former chief prosecutor who served for a long time in the prosecution’s financial investigation department, plans to oversee criminal cases related to fair trade. Attorney Choi Han-sik (Judicial Research and Training Institute class 30), who has handled numerous cases involving unfair trade and insider trading after serving as head of legal teams and general headquarters at large corporations; Attorney Jang Moon-gyu (Judicial Research and Training Institute class 33), skilled in corporate legal advisory for Audi Korea, the Korean-German Chamber of Commerce, and MAN Truck & Bus Korea; Attorney Kim Yoo-jung, who led legal advisory and fair trade work for many companies including LG Electronics, Coca-Cola, and Nonghyup Distribution; Attorneys Son Mi-ri and Shim Soo-jin, proficient in international law; and Attorney Kim Dan-ha, who holds a customs broker license, have all joined the team.
The Daeryun Fair Trade Group plans to proactively respond to corporate fair trade issues and global fair trade cases together with multi-disciplinary experts. In particular, it will also operate a fair trade criminal team to prepare for all stages of fair trade investigations by the KFTC and prosecution.
