This exhibition was co-hosted by Chung-Ang University's Immersive Media Innovation Convergence College Project Group and the Virtual Convergence College, and took place on the 31st of last month at the Grand Palace in Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Seven universities participated, including Chung-Ang University, Konkuk University, Kyung Hee University, Keimyung University, Kaywon University of Art and Design, Paichai University, and Jeonju University.
The 'K-Global@Vietnam 2024,' where the Immersive Media Global Startup Exhibition was held, is an event organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh IT Support Centers (NIPA) to promote active exchange and cooperation between Korean and Vietnamese companies. Domestic digital innovation companies aiming to enter the Vietnamese market, Vietnamese companies, buyers, and investors seeking cooperation with Korean companies participated to showcase their products and solutions. Over 4,000 industry-academia-research stakeholders and sponsor companies from around the world also took part in the event.
Twelve student teams from seven participating universities exhibited their self-developed startup items, drawing significant attention. Various startup items were demonstrated through the exhibition, including an application based on artificial intelligence that recognizes posture correction during exercise and games incorporating immersive media. It was an opportunity to introduce startup items to company representatives and expand networking.
