View original imageSeodaemun-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seongheon) announced on the 4th that it recently carried out landslide prevention projects at two locations to prevent damage to residents caused by heavy summer rains.
The district installed facilities such as retaining nets near Sanggolgogae (around San 5-1, Hong Eun-dong) to prevent fallen trees and rocks from being washed down onto the sidewalks and roads below during heavy rains.
Additionally, to prevent soil and debris from Ansan (鞍山) adjacent to Sinyeon Middle School (408 Moraenae-ro) from pouring into the school parking lot due to heavy rain, the district installed stone channels, collection wells, and plant mats.

The district plans to complete repair and maintenance work on aging facilities within the forest by the end of this month. Lee Seongheon, Mayor of Seodaemun-gu, stated, “We will do our best to protect residents’ lives and property and prevent disasters during heavy rains.”
