Jindo-gun Successfully Concludes the 11th Fisheries Workers Unity Festival
Over 400 Fishermen in the District Participate... A Venue for Harmony and Communication Established
Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do, successfully held the 24th 11th Fisheries People Unity Festival on the morning of the 30th of last month.
According to the county on the 3rd, this Fisheries People Unity Festival was hosted by the Jindo-gun Fisheries Association Federation (President Lee Gwang-hoe), with about 400 participants including fisheries people, fisheries organizations, and related agencies sharing fisheries information and having a time of harmony and communication.

The event proceeded in the order of a pre-ceremony performance by the Seojindo Nonghyup Nanta Performance Team, △ Commendation for meritorious persons in the marine and fisheries sector △ Opening and congratulatory speeches △ Harmony festival (recreation) △ Passion festival (singing and talent contest) △ Prize raffle.
Lee Gwang-hoe, president of the Jindo-gun Fisheries Association Federation, said, “I hope all fisheries families, who play an important role in the local economy, take pride and do their best in their respective positions,” adding, “The 110 kg of rice brought to celebrate this event will be donated to the sharing pantry in Imhoe-myeon to support vulnerable groups.”
A fisheries support department official said, “We are grateful to the fisheries people who do their best in fishing villages, their place of livelihood, despite difficult conditions,” and added, “We will do our best to develop a sustainable and balanced fisheries industry by responding to climate change, fostering strategic species, and promoting high value-added industries such as processing, distribution, and export for the future fisheries of the region.”
