Jeongeup-si Confirms First Supplementary Budget of 1.2089 Trillion Won This Year

Jeongeup City in Jeonbuk announced on the 3rd that it has finalized the first supplementary budget for this year at 1.2089 trillion won.

This is an increase of 97.5 billion won compared to this year's original budget. Specifically, the general account increased by 91.7 billion won (8.86%) from 1.0359 trillion won to 1.1276 trillion won, and the special account increased by 5.8 billion won (7.70%) from the original budget of 75.5 billion won to 81.3 billion won.

The city organized the budget focusing on projects to revitalize the local economy and improve citizens' quality of life by resolving inconveniences.

Major projects include ▲120 billion won for the Suseong District stormwater retention facility installation project ▲3.8 billion won for the Extreme Sports Facility at the Cultural Plaza and Donghwa Village Theme Park creation ▲3.6 billion won for the Livestock Manure Public Treatment Facility (Manure Fuel Conversion) installation project ▲3.3 billion won for the construction of Jeongeup Sports Training Center ▲3 billion won for the Naejangsan Natural Recreation Forest development project ▲2.5 billion won for the creation of the Children's Miracle Playground, among others.

Mayor Lee Hak-su said, “Amid difficult economic conditions, we focused on projects that help revitalize the local economy, resolve citizens' inconveniences, and promote current issues. I thank the council members who worked hard for budget review and approval, and we will do our best to achieve project outcomes through smooth and swift implementation.”
