The ‘Digital Platform Government Award’ is an award ceremony hosted by the Korean Society of Management Information Systems. It is given to companies, institutions, or individuals who have contributed to national economic development by leading digital transformation that solves social problems and creates new value together with citizens, businesses, and the government on a ‘digital platform’ where all data is connected through digital innovation.
RaonSecure was recognized for its contribution to enhancing national prestige by leading the establishment of blockchain-based mobile IDs, a core project of the digital platform government, including building Korea’s first national digital ID, the mobile driver’s license, in 2022 using its blockchain-based OmniOne digital ID technology, and thus received the Minister of Science and ICT Commendation.
In addition to the mobile driver’s license, the company has taken the lead in building Korea’s national digital ID by establishing blockchain-based mobile IDs such as the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s ‘Mobile Public Official ID Service’ in 2021, the Military Manpower Administration’s ‘e-Military Wallet Service’ in 2022, and the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs’ ‘Mobile National Veterans Registration Card Service’ in 2023.
Based on its experience in building Korea’s national digital ID, RaonSecure is actively expanding into global national digital ID projects. Last year, it completed the design consulting for Indonesia’s national digital ID and is currently discussing specific project progress. Additionally, it is actively negotiating digital ID construction projects with countries in Central and South America and Southeast Asia, including Costa Rica and the Philippines.
