Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, Visits Leak Site in Gongdeok-dong and Takes Prompt Action
Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, immediately visited the site around 12:40 PM on the 2nd after an accident, presumed to be caused by a burst water pipe, occurred in the area of Ogeori, Gongdeok-dong, to identify the cause and take prompt action.
As the accident led to the closure of a three-lane road, Mayor Park instructed the activation of the 'Safe Mapo Hotline' for cooperation with related agencies and the sending of disaster safety text messages to prepare for traffic disruptions.
Additionally, to prevent secondary accidents and inconvenience to residents, Mayor Park stayed at the site to monitor the restoration work carried out by the Western Waterworks Office.

Mayor Park Gang-su stated, "Regardless of which agency is responsible for accidents occurring within Mapo District, we must immediately visit the site and initiate initial response to ensure residents' safety. I hope the cause of the accident will be identified promptly and swift measures taken. Mapo District will also remain on site until the restoration work is completed to prevent any further damage."
