Recruitment of New Students for the 2025 Academic Year
Sejong University announced on the 1st that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Army Headquarters to mutually cooperate in the field of cyber specialized personnel and to enhance the acquisition rate of cyber professional positions.

View original imageThe main contents of this agreement include ▲ fostering specialized personnel in the field of National Defense Cyber Studies ▲ establishing and operating the National Defense Cyber Studies Department (with employment conditions). In the future, all graduates of Sejong University's Cyber Defense Department will be able to be commissioned as cyber officers in the Army.
Starting from the 2025 academic year admissions, Sejong University plans to select 20 outstanding students annually. These students will receive full tuition support equivalent to four years of tuition fees. During their enrollment, they will have opportunities to visit the Army Cyber Operations Center, observe cyber warfare training, experience military life at various Army units, and attend international cyber exercises involving the Army or Cyber Operations Command.

Baek Deokhyo, President of Sejong University, stated, “Based on the successful operation of the Navy (Department of Defense Systems Engineering) and Air Force (Department of Aviation Systems Engineering) military contract departments established in 2012, we will make further efforts to cultivate the specialized personnel needed in the Army (Cyber Defense Department).”
