O Se-cheol, Chairman of Seocho District Council, Participates in ByeBye Plastic Challenge
Seocho District Council announced on the 30th that Chairman Oh Se-cheol has joined the 'Bye Bye Plastic' challenge campaign for environmental protection.
The Bye Bye Plastic challenge is a nationwide campaign promoted by the Ministry of Environment since August last year, aimed at reducing unnecessary plastic use.
The detailed action guidelines of the campaign include ▲using reusable shopping bags when grocery shopping ▲using reusable insulated bags when ordering fresh food ▲reducing the use of wet wipes and plastic straws ▲not buying products with excessive packaging ▲using secondhand or recycled products ▲using reusable items instead of disposable ones ▲refusing unnecessary plastic when ordering delivery ▲avoiding unnecessary vinyl use ▲using refill stores without packaging ▲and taking responsibility for separating and disposing of the products used, totaling ten actions.
Chairman Oh Se-cheol said, “Through this campaign, I hope the awareness that small daily actions can create a better environment and future spreads.”

Chairman Oh, who joined the challenge after being nominated by Gangnam District Council Chairman Kim Hyung-dae, nominated the next participants as Dobong District Chairman Kang Shin-man, Jongno District Chairman Ra Do-gyun, and Seongbuk District Chairman Oh Jung-gyun.
