On the 29th, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office filed an appeal with the Criminal Division 9 of the Seoul Central District Court, which handled the first trial of Kim, who was indicted for violating the Narcotics Control Act (psychotropic substances) and the Medical Service Act.
Kim is accused of administering propofol multiple times to Yoo Ah-in, who came for sedation anesthesia for a cosmetic procedure in 2021.
Additionally, Kim is believed to have prescribed the sleeping pill Stilnox under another person's name to Yoo Ah-in and falsified medical records.
The prosecution emphasized that considering the approximately 10-month period during which Kim prescribed narcotics and the considerable quantity involved, the fine of 25 million won is a light sentence.
