On the 29th, Gyeonggi Province announced that it will supply heatwave safety supplies to 2,250 vulnerable private construction sites with a project scale of less than 500 million won in the province to minimize the occurrence of heat-related illnesses among outdoor construction workers who are directly exposed to the heatwave and have vulnerable working environments.
Min Ju-sik, head of the Labor Safety Division of Gyeonggi Province, said, "We will actively take the lead in establishing and spreading a safety culture, including pilot support of heatwave safety supplies for ultra-small-scale (less than 500 million won) construction sites with vulnerable working environments."
