Russia: "NATO Conducting Training to Attack Russian Territory... Protective Measures Needed"
On the 28th (local time), Russia claimed that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) is conducting training exercises aimed at attacking Russian territory.
Vladimir Kulishov, Chief of the Border Guard of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia, told the local RIA Novosti news agency on the same day, "NATO is preparing combat operation scenarios against the Russian Federation," adding, "This includes nuclear attacks on our territory." He stated, "NATO's reconnaissance activities near the Russian border are increasing, and the intensity of operational combat training is also rising," emphasizing, "We must take appropriate measures to protect and defend our borders."
