Operating the "Walking in Suncheon" Program for a Walkable City

Various Programs Planned Including Manyang Walking and Sea Walking

Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Noh Gwan-gyu) announced on the 25th that it will operate the 2024 Korea Dulle-gil Namparang-gil "Walking the City You Want to Walk, Suncheon" program, starting with Manyang Walking.

The Korea Dulle-gil Namparang-gil "Walking the City You Want to Walk, Suncheon" program is conducted under two themes: 'Namparang-gil Manyang Walking' and 'Namparang-gil Suncheonman Sea Walking.'

The Manyang Walking program on the Namparang-gil Course 62 Suncheon section held on the 25th started from Byeollyang Hwapo Beach, passing through Geocha Village and ending at Guryong Station. The course featured a walk along the beautiful seaside path of Hwapo Beach and a quiet countryside road.

In particular, the program was accompanied by a Suncheon City cultural tourism guide who provided explanations about the walking path and added interesting commentary at each section of the course, making the walking time more meaningful.

One participant said, "I was glad to have the opportunity to walk along the beautiful seaside path in this pleasant season," and added, "I will also participate in the Sea Walking and Manyang Walking Course 61 (Waon Beach to Byeollyang Hwapo) section scheduled for next month."

An official from the city stated, "We hope that through the Korea Dulle-gil Namparang-gil walking program, people can walk beautiful trails and take time to heal in nature, escaping from their daily lives."
