Seocho-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jeon Seong-su) is recruiting companies to participate in the ‘2024 Youth Growth Project.’
The ‘Youth Growth Project’ is a Ministry of Employment and Labor initiative aimed at creating youth-friendly corporate organizational cultures by providing education to help young employees in their early stages of employment adapt to workplace life. Seocho-gu was newly selected for this year’s competition, securing 140 million KRW in national funding, and is currently recruiting participating companies on an ongoing basis.
Applications are being accepted through the Seocho-gu website, and for professional training, agreements have been made with Inocras Korea Co., Ltd. and Soritune Co., Ltd., both located in Seocho-gu. Training will be conducted from June this year according to the schedules of the applying companies.
This training program is fully funded and free of charge for participating companies and consists of ‘New Employee Onboarding’ and ‘Youth-Friendly Organizational Culture Education.’
The New Employee Onboarding training is designed for new employees (aged 19 to 39) who have been working at local companies for less than one year. It will be held eight times with 10 participants per session. The program offers education in various areas to help them adapt more easily to workplace life, including ▲workplace etiquette ▲image making and other useful social skills, as well as ▲persuasive reporting and speech ▲practical skills such as Excel and PowerPoint for smart work.
The Youth-Friendly Organizational Culture Education targets company representatives, middle managers, and HR personnel, with 15 sessions held for five participants each. The training aims to create a youth-friendly work environment that supports new employees by covering topics such as ▲understanding and communicating with the MZ generation ▲correcting workplace harassment ▲interview skills for fair recruitment.
Additionally, to enhance the effectiveness of the training, customized consulting tailored to each company’s situation and psychological counseling consulting for current employees will be provided. Companies that complete more than 80% of the ‘Youth Growth Project’ training will receive a certification from the Ministry of Employment and Labor, which is expected to be a great opportunity to enhance the company’s image among young job seekers, according to a district official.
