Gwangjin-gu Promotes Revitalization of 'Achasan Hiking Trail Alley Commercial Area'
On the 22nd, Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation Signs Business Agreement with Achasan Hiking Trail Merchants Association... Supporting Alleyway Commercial Districts and Revitalizing Local Economy
Comprehensive Support Inside and Outside Commercial Districts Including Store-by-Store Consulting, Facility Improvement Funding, and Infrastructure Development
Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the 22nd with the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation Gwangjin Branch and the Achasan Hiking Trail Merchants Association to officially launch a project to revitalize the alleyway commercial district around Achasan Hiking Trail.
Through this agreement, it is expected that not only will sales increase in the alleyway commercial district centered on Achasan Hiking Trail, but also the value of the area as a local attraction will be enhanced through branding of Achasan, thereby promoting the influx of visitors.
The project includes ▲ forming a network of small business owners ▲ providing 1 million KRW support per store for management consulting and facility improvement costs ▲ supporting LED lighting and advertising marketing, focusing on strengthening the capabilities of small business owners in the alleyway commercial district and creating a commercial environment that reflects local characteristics. Gwangjin-gu, the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation, and the Achasan Hiking Trail Merchants Association pledged to promote the project through mutual cooperation under the MOU.
Additionally, after the project concludes, an effect analysis such as changes in commercial district sales and a satisfaction survey will be conducted through the ‘Seoul Small Business Policy Research Center’ to enhance the completeness of the project.
Gwangjin-gu had previously implemented consulting and facility improvement support in the first half of this year through the Our Neighborhood Business Doctor project, but this ‘Alleyway Commercial District Revitalization Support Project’ differentiates itself by identifying commercial areas with high development potential through prior field analysis and supporting the establishment of infrastructure environments.
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “I am grateful to the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation for sharing the will to revitalize the alleyway commercial district,” and added, “We will continue to actively communicate with local partner organizations and do our best to discover support measures for small business owners.”
