The HD SmartCare Busan Center oversees ship management services for the Southeast region ports including Busan, Ulsan, and Gwangyang, where 90% of domestic incoming ships stay, and serves as a global headquarters service center coordinating ship repair schedules and manpower management for overseas service centers.
This center was launched by reorganizing the existing warranty service division into a newly formed ship lifecycle service organization by HD Hyundai Marine Solutions. The company plans to expand the centers currently operating in Busan and Singapore to Europe and the United States in the future.
Through the HD SmartCare Center, HD Hyundai Marine Solutions will continue to provide warranty services for ships, engines, and eco-friendly equipment, while deploying additional experts to strengthen ship visit inspection services mainly in overseas hub regions.
In particular, HD Hyundai Marine Solutions recently converted the HD SmartCare Center into a customer-friendly service center operating 24 hours daily to respond in real time to the increased customer inquiries due to the rise in eco-friendly shipbuilding. Additionally, AI chatbot technology will be introduced to efficiently handle repetitive inquiries.
An HD Hyundai Marine Solutions official said, "HD Hyundai Marine Solutions provides solutions managing the entire lifecycle from shipbuilding to ship scrapping," adding, "The HD SmartCare Center will be a core foundation for delivering the best customer service."
