Intel announced on the 21st that it will supply the next client processor, Luna Lake, to more than 80 new laptop models from 20 OEM companies in the quarter targeting the year-end season, optimized for Microsoft (MS) generative AI operation on Copilot+ PCs.
Luna Lake is a product that enhances the neural processing unit (NPU) level compared to the previous generation and increases AI performance by more than three times. After the new product launch, Intel plans to support functions such as recall on Copilot+ PCs through updates. Recall is a feature that helps users easily search for what tasks they performed in the past.
The company expects to ship more than 40 million AI PC processors this year with the launch of Luna Lake, as well as the previously introduced Core Ultra processors.
