Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) will support the purchase of safety equipment up to 100,000 KRW to prevent traffic accidents involving delivery workers.
This project was promoted in collaboration with the Gwangjin-gu Labor Welfare Center (Director Kim Joon-gi). After conducting safety education for delivery workers working in Gwangjin-gu, those who complete the course will receive funds for equipment purchase.
Supported items include safety helmets, knee pads, protective gloves, and more. After purchasing the items and submitting proof documents, individuals can receive support up to 100,000 KRW per person. However, maintenance or repair costs for two-wheeled vehicles are excluded.
The education was held twice on the 13th and 20th. With 50 delivery workers attending, an active-duty police officer from the Gwangjin Police Station provided guidance on accident prevention methods and how to respond in emergencies. Following this, an instructor from the Rider Union conducted labor rights education to promote the rights and interests of delivery workers.
