DK Asia Wraps Up 'Totoro Party' Event at Royal Park City
- Over 10,000 Attend Totoro Party, Creating a Festival Space for Local Residents and Families to Come Together
- Additional Totoro Party Scheduled for Saturday the 25th in Celebration of Family Month, Featuring More Diverse and Exciting Programs
DK Asia announced that the ‘Totoro Party (Saturday Saturday with Royal Park City)’ held on the large-scale garden of Wanggil Station Royal Park City, which is creating a landscaping environment comparable to a botanical garden by installing European-style fountains, themed gardens with unique features, and various artistic sculptures, was successfully completed with enthusiastic participation and support from local residents.
Especially since May is the month of family and the season of festivals, despite large-scale events being held in nearby areas, about 10,000 people including Wanggil Station Royal Park City contract holders, local residents, families, and couples visited to relax and enjoy the event in the beautiful garden filled with flowers and greenery.
A man in his 50s living in Wanggildong, Mr. A, said, “On that day, I spent a joyful time with my family sailing on the Ara Waterway and then came to the event venue. I was surprised by the unexpectedly large crowd, but I listened to music in the spacious garden full of trees and sat around the table with my family, having conversations, spending a happier weekend than any other holiday.”
In addition, a generous prize event was held for residents who visited the Totoro Party venue. Through a 100% winning roulette event, prizes such as LG Styler, Samsung Galaxy Tab, Everland free admission tickets, and Trinity Lounge meal vouchers were given away. Mr. B, in his 40s from Geomdan-dong, won an LG Styler worth about 2 million won and received congratulations from residents at the event.
Moreover, those who posted event photos or videos on social networking services (SNS) such as KakaoTalk, blogs, or Facebook were also given drinks or cookies as part of a giveaway event.
To celebrate the month of family, the Totoro Party will be held again on the 25th (Saturday) with more diverse and exciting programs from 2 PM to 8 PM at Royal Garden within Wanggil Station Royal Park City (Wanggildong, Seo-gu, Incheon). This event will feature a flea market showcasing local representative foods and goods, a night market (夜 market) offering various foods through food trucks and a romantic atmosphere with emotional lighting, and various performances, providing enjoyment to local residents and families visiting the venue. Additionally, a more generous prize event is planned.
Kim Jung-mo, Chairman of DK Asia, said, “We are truly grateful that so many people, including contract holders, local residents, families with children, and young couples, visited the first-ever Totoro Party this year, resting in the beautiful garden filled with flowers and greenery and enjoying the prepared programs joyfully.” He added, “As a company leading residential and urban culture in Korea, DK Asia is creating the most special city in the world that embraces nature, culture, and emotion. Especially in Wanggil Station Royal Park City, we are using the high-quality tree species, Styrax japonicus, known for its clear and strong fragrance that travels thousands of miles, as garden trees within the complex for the first time in Korea. Through special landscaping trees and facilities, we are creating landscaping more beautiful than botanical gardens and developing this area into a new affluent district suitable for the upcoming Geomdan-gu era, making it Korea’s top hot spot.”
