Gyeonggi-do Opens Card Spending and Mobility Data for Free...Nation's First
Gyeonggi Province will be the first in the nation to provide free access to card consumption and daily mobility population data.
Gyeonggi Province stated that the information being opened this time is very valuable for understanding consumption trends by day of the week or specific age groups in the region, or for identifying major consumer movement routes based on travel purposes or means of transportation, and it is expected to help small business owners who have limited access to information.
On the 19th, Gyeonggi Province announced that it has made 28 types of data purchased through the ‘Private Data Joint Purchase’ project with 11 cities and counties in the province freely available to residents via the provincial public data open portal ‘Gyeonggi Data Dream (data.gg.go.kr)’.
The data being opened this time includes a total of 28 types across 4 fields: 21 types of communication data that reveal population movement status by travel purpose or means, 2 types of card data containing card company merchant and sales information, 2 types of corporate statistical data showing the status of companies within Gyeonggi Province, and 3 types of credit statistical data that provide information such as the number of loan users and total loan balances.
Gyeonggi Province will update the currently opened 28 types of data monthly to improve user convenience and utilization. Some data will also be provided in the form of application programming interfaces (APIs). Additionally, a total of 4 types of data, including 1 corporate data type and 3 credit information types, will be sequentially added and opened.
