Active Efforts to Attract Mokpo National University College of Medicine, a Precious Wish of Muan County Residents
Kim Kyung-hyun, chairman of the Muan County Council, participated in the SNS relay campaign on the 16th to attract the Mokpo National University College of Medicine, a 34-year-long aspiration of the southwestern region of Jeollanam-do.
This campaign began on the 25th of last month by Park Hong-ryul, mayor of Mokpo, and Kim Kyung-hyun was nominated as the next participant by Kim San, governor of Muan County.

Chairman Kim Kyung-hyun held a sign that read "The precious wish of Muan residents, attracting the National Mokpo National University College of Medicine" and said through social networking services (SNS), "To establish a local medical system in the medically vulnerable areas that have collapsed and to solve the shortage of medical personnel, it is essential to attract a College of Medicine to the National Mokpo National University." He urged, "Please unite the will of the residents to make the earnest wish of 100,000 Muan residents come true by attracting the Mokpo National University College of Medicine."
Chairman Kim nominated Kim Yong-ho, chief of the Muan Fire Station, and Kim Cheon-seong, president of the Korean Senior Citizens Association Muan Branch, as the next participants in the relay campaign.
Meanwhile, the Muan County Council unanimously adopted the "Resolution to Urge the Establishment of Mokpo National University College of Medicine" in May last year and has been actively engaged in various legislative activities, including participating in performances praying for the attraction of the medical school throughout Muan County.
