Eugene Investment & Securities Publishes 2024 Sustainability Management Report
Core Strategies Are ESG Finance, Digitalization, and Community Coexistence
On the 14th, Eugene Investment & Securities announced the publication of its 2024 Sustainability Management Report, which contains its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) management strategies and key achievements.
Eugene Investment & Securities issued the Sustainability Management Report to publicly declare its commitment to strengthening ESG management and to transparently disclose related information. This report is the second edition following the one published in 2022.
Through this Sustainability Management Report, Eugene Investment & Securities introduced the company’s mid- to long-term ESG strategies and core initiatives. The company identified ‘ESG Finance,’ ‘Digitization,’ and ‘Coexistence with Local Communities’ as its key ESG strategies. Accordingly, it has undertaken activities such as ▲being selected as an operator for the private-led R&D support project for promising technology-based small and medium venture companies (Scale-up TIPS) ▲publishing ESG research reports ▲establishing digital work channels ▲supporting local community culture, arts, and sports ▲and conducting ESG practice campaigns like walking challenges.
Marking its 70th anniversary, Eugene Investment & Securities plans to actively advance ESG management activities starting this year. In March, it established the ‘ESG Committee,’ responsible for major decision-making related to ESG management, and also operates an ‘ESG Strategy Task Force (TF)’ composed of practitioners from relevant departments. Additionally, it is conducting related training to enhance the ESG capabilities of its employees.
