A man in his 40s who ate food without paying for about 8 hours at an unmanned store was caught by the police. When the police arrived, the man caused a commotion by barricading the entrance with a refrigerator.

On the 13th, the official YouTube channel of Gangwon Police posted a video titled "Someone entered my store and locked the door," explaining the incident. The Chuncheon Police Station in Gangwon is investigating Mr. A (41), who caused the disturbance.
Mr. A is suspected of entering an unmanned store located in Hyoja-dong, Chuncheon, at around 2:16 a.m. on the 22nd of last month and dining without paying for about 8 hours. Furthermore, when the crime was discovered at around 10:35 a.m. that day, Mr. A is also accused of removing the batteries from the door lock and barricading the entrance with a refrigerator to prevent police entry.

Despite multiple warnings from the police, Mr. A ignored them and hid inside the building. In response, the police blocked escape routes, deployed a forced entry team at the entrance, and placed an infiltration team at the rear windows to carry out the arrest operation. The infiltration team, who entered the store first, distracted Mr. A’s attention, while the forced entry team opened the door and pushed away the refrigerator blocking the entrance, successfully entering the store. With escape routes blocked on both sides, Mr. A was arrested on the spot within 25 minutes.
