Crackdown on Fraudulent Distribution Including Refusal of Payment with Cheonan Sarang Gift Certificates
Crackdown on Registered Restricted Business Franchise Stores Refusing Payments and More
Cheonan City in Chungnam Province will conduct a "2024 First Half Cheonan Love Gift Certificate Illegal Distribution Crackdown" until the 31st of this month.
This crackdown will be carried out by verifying illegal distribution through on-site visits to affiliated stores based on pre-analysis data using an abnormal transaction detection system.
The main targets of the crackdown are affiliated stores operating in restricted industries such as gambling, refusal to accept Cheonan Love Gift Certificates as payment, and discriminatory practices against other payment methods.
If illegal distribution is detected, the affiliated store's registration will be canceled and a fine of up to 20 million KRW will be imposed according to the Local Love Gift Certificate Act. In cases of serious violations, investigations will be requested from relevant authorities.
