'Hijacking' depicts the story of a passenger plane being hijacked in the skies over South Korea in 1971. Actor Ha Jung-woo plays the role of a former Air Force co-pilot of the passenger plane. He was a promising Air Force fighter pilot with excellent flying skills and, two years prior, during an aerial training exercise, he received orders to shoot down a passenger plane attempting a defection to the North. Suspecting a hijacking, he refused the order and was forcibly discharged. Afterwards, he becomes a co-pilot for a civilian airline but remains haunted by doubts about the choice he made at that time.
