Gyeonggi Office of Education Launches Youth Manifesto Action Group...Nation's First

View original imageThe Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is operating a Youth Manifesto Action Group.
On the 12th, the Office of Education announced that it held the inauguration ceremony for the second term of the 'Youth Manifesto Action Group,' formed to promote youth policy participation and communication, at the Suwon Southern Government Complex on the 10th.
Earlier, in April, the Office of Education selected a total of 23 members through an open recruitment and document screening process. The Youth Manifesto Action Group is the first of its kind among education offices nationwide.
The Youth Manifesto Action Group will engage in various activities, including ▲ monitoring youth-related policies and proposing opinions ▲ on-site experience policy camps for campaign pledges ▲ and promotional campaigns for Gyeonggi education.
At the inauguration ceremony, the Youth Manifesto Action Group members received appointment letters and membership cards, presented youth-related campaign pledge tasks, and participated in a Gyeonggi education empathy talk session.
The empathy talk was conducted in a format where youths discussed their experiences with campaign pledges and the realities of Gyeonggi education from their perspective, and Gyeonggi Superintendent of Education Lim Tae-hee responded.
First, based on an online survey related to Gyeonggi education policies involving 7,000 students in the province, the students presented their views on Gyeonggi education.
Regarding whether Gyeonggi education policies reflect the thoughts of education consumers well, 89% of students responded "average or above." When asked if they actually feel changes in Gyeonggi education policies in school educational activities, 85% answered "average or above." When asked if Gyeonggi education policies are being promoted in line with future societal changes, 90% responded affirmatively.

Superintendent Lim Tae-hee emphasized, "You need to tell us how to make school life more enjoyable and happier," adding, "The goal of Gyeonggi education is to provide education necessary for future society, and education is about you solving your own problems and discussing with others to solve problems you have not experienced together."
