Ulsan City Selects Greennarae Co., Ltd. as '2024 Excellent Village Enterprise'
Rural Experience Program... Over 7,000 Visitors Annually
Ulsan City announced on the 10th that Uljugun village enterprise Green Narae Co., Ltd. (CEO Nam Myeong-suk) has been selected as an ‘Excellent Village Enterprise of 2024’ by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety annually selects excellent village enterprises by comprehensively evaluating public interest and business viability among village enterprises contributing to solving local issues and community development.
Green Narae Co., Ltd. was designated as a village enterprise in 2020 and operates nature experience programs using farm facilities, with over 7,000 participants annually.
Major programs include harvesting experiences of agricultural products (grapes, mulberries, potatoes, sweet potatoes, etc.) for daycare and kindergarten children, and dementia prevention programs such as making rice snacks, bread, and cookies for seniors at the Dementia Relief Center.
To develop programs and ensure continuous progress, the village enterprise’s CEO completed a healing agriculture operator course last year and is diversifying community contribution projects by developing healing agriculture programs specialized for the village this year.
For the 2024 Excellent Village Enterprise, 32 village enterprises nationwide applied, and 16 were selected. Selected excellent village enterprises receive up to 70 million KRW in project funds for product development, facility expansion, consulting, and promotion/marketing.
