17 Sites Over 5000㎡ Targeted
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 10th that it will conduct a comprehensive inspection of large-scale sales facilities, including department stores, within the jurisdiction to prevent disasters such as fires.
The inspection targets 17 sales facilities with a total floor area of 5,000㎡ or more, and a notification of the inspection plan has been issued with a notice period set until the 17th. The main inspection items include the maintenance status of evacuation routes such as the storage of combustible materials in evacuation stairs and corridors, the proper operation of fire doors and fire shutters, and the management status of fire-causing substances.
The city plans to conduct on-site inspections of all target facilities from the 20th to the 31st. Minor violations found during the inspection will be corrected on-site, while facilities found to be in violation of the Building Act will be subject to administrative measures.
