Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education Announces 2024 First GED Exam Passers
The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced the "2024 First Round of Elementary, Middle, and High School Equivalency Exam Passers" on the 9th.
A total of 672 candidates took this equivalency exam, and 562 of them, accounting for 83.7% of all test takers, passed the exam. For the elementary school level, 61 out of 64 candidates passed, showing a pass rate of 95.3%.
At the middle school level, 109 out of 128 candidates passed, representing 85.2%, and for the high school exam, 392 out of 480 candidates passed, which is 81.7%.
The oldest passers by exam level were Kim (female, 65 years old) for elementary school, Jo (female, 71 years old) for middle school, and Seo (male, 72 years old) for high school, achieving valuable results of success.
The list of passers and individual scores for this equivalency exam can be checked on the Provincial Office of Education website starting from the 17th.
Certificates related to the equivalency exam (certificate of passing, transcript, subject pass certificate) can be issued starting from the 9th by logging in with a personal joint certificate on the 'NEIS Public Service' or 'Government24' websites. Additionally, they can be issued by visiting administrative offices of elementary, middle, and high schools nationwide, education office civil service centers, or unmanned civil document issuance machines at administrative welfare centers.

The certificate awarding ceremony is scheduled to be held on June 2 at the Yeosu World Expo Conference Hall during the "2024 Korea Glocal Future Education Expo." For those who do not attend the ceremony, certificates will be individually mailed for the convenience of the examinees.
