Previously, this album also ranked first on the Oricon weekly album ranking released on the 7th.
With this record, Seventeen reached the top spot for the 12th time in the weekly combined album ranking, breaking the record for the most number one positions by a foreign artist on the Oricon chart.
The Oricon weekly combined album ranking calculates rankings by combining CD sales, digital downloads, and streaming counts. Seventeen recorded a total of 344,000 points, including 333,000 CD sales.
Oricon explained, "Seventeen's combined score is the highest weekly point recorded by a foreign artist this year."
Additionally, 'Seventeen Is Right Here' also ranked first on the latest Billboard Japan 'Hot Albums' chart (tracking period April 29 to May 5) and the 'Top Album Sales' chart released on the 8th.
Released on April 29, 'Seventeen Is Right Here' has surpassed 2.96 million copies in initial sales (the number of albums sold in the first week after release), marking an exceptional achievement for a best album.
The album's title track 'Maestro (MAESTRO)' entered the US Billboard 'Global 200' and 'Global (excluding US)' charts based solely on about four days of streaming and download performance after release.
