Cheongsong-gun Begins Payment of Farmer's Allowance for the First Half of This Year
Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, will pay the '2024 First Half Farmer's Allowance' of 300,000 KRW in Cheongsong Love Currency at designated financial institutions within the jurisdiction from May 1 to June 28.
Cheongsong-gun has started distributing the Farmer's Allowance for the first half of 2024.
View original imageThis year, the farmer's allowance is scheduled to be paid to a total of 6,453 farming households amounting to 3.8718 billion KRW, with 300,000 KRW paid in each half of the year (600,000 KRW annually) in installments.
The county conducted mobile and in-person applications from February 1 to March 15, and after verifying the eligibility of applicants, finalized the target farming households through objection reception and review from April 12 to 26.
The payment targets are farm, forestry, and fishery business operators who have resided in the province for more than one year and registered their agricultural and fishery management information by December 31, 2022, and who are actively engaged in agriculture, forestry, or fishery.
Eligible recipients can receive the allowance by visiting designated financial institutions such as local NongHyup branches with a valid ID for identity verification by June 28.

Yoon Kyung-hee, the county governor, stated, “The farmer's allowance is a continuously supported project to enhance the public value of agriculture and boost the pride of farmers,” adding, “We hope that this payment will instill pride in our farmers and contribute to revitalizing the local economy.”
