Public-Private Collaboration... Nationwide First Digital Education for Integrated Care
On the 9th at 3:30 PM, Busan City will sign a business agreement for the ‘Busan-type Integrated Neulbom "Cherished Like You" Specialized Women Professionals Training’ with the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity, Busan Women and Family and Lifelong Education Promotion Institute, and Root I&C at the City Hall International Protocol Room.
This agreement was prepared to train women who have experienced career interruptions due to pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare as integrated care professionals (digital teachers) in connection with the Busan-type Integrated Neulbom project ‘Cherished Like You.’
The signing institutions include ▲the city ▲Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity (Chairman Jo Yullae) ▲Busan Women and Family and Lifelong Education Promotion Institute (Director Oh Kyungeun) ▲Root I&C (CEO Lee Donghoon), with representatives from each organization attending to sign the agreement in person.
Through this agreement, the city plans to create a high-quality Busan-type Integrated Neulbom ‘Cherished Like You’ specialized program by introducing private sector expertise based on public interest and to create jobs for women whose careers have been interrupted by pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare.
First, the ‘Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity’ will support the development of various care programs based on its comprehensive and remote education training platform within the foundation, as a specialized institution fostering creative talents through science-centered education such as science, technology, and digital convergence.
‘Root I&C’ will support professional workforce training and capacity building by utilizing artificial intelligence (AI), digital technology education, educational facilities, and equipment, while the ‘Busan Women and Family and Lifelong Education Promotion Institute’ will oversee the overall management of the education process, including selection, comprehensive exams, and certificate issuance.
Additionally, ‘Busan City’ will actively respond to the latest trends and parental demands by introducing digital education into integrated care education for infants and elementary school students nationwide for the first time through collaboration with public and private talent development institutions. The city plans to enhance the quality of education and secure policy leadership over integrated care education content.
Support will also be provided to help women in Busan who have experienced career interruptions to make a fresh start as specialized professionals in the Busan-type Integrated Neulbom ‘Cherished Like You’ program.
After the pilot project, the city plans to establish the ‘Busan-type Integrated Neulbom Cherished Like You Specialized Professional Training Hub Center’ by utilizing closed daycare centers. This center will operate full-scale programs incorporating future-oriented education such as digital education and essential educational fields for children, including play-based math and science experiences, without limiting the scope.
