View original imageThe Asiana Airlines Pilots' Labor Union has agreed on the 2023 wage negotiation proposal, which includes a 7.5% increase in base salary.
The Asiana Airlines Pilots' Labor Union announced on the 8th that the tentative agreement on the 2023 wage negotiation was approved with 81.1% (791 votes) in favor and 18.9% (184 votes) against. Out of 1,119 union members (excluding 4 under disciplinary action), 975 participated in the vote, resulting in a turnout rate of 87.1%.
On the 26th of last month, Asiana Airlines management and the pilots' union reached a tentative agreement that included a 7.5% increase in base salary and flight allowance, as well as payment of safety incentives equivalent to 100% of the base salary. With the approval of this agreement, Asiana Airlines management and the pilots' union plan to hold a signing ceremony for the collective bargaining agreement this afternoon.

Previously, both parties had conducted 11 rounds of negotiations from November last year until last month but remained at an impasse. Although the Seoul Regional Labor Relations Commission intervened as a mediator during this process, the gap in opinions was not narrowed. The pilots' union had even been prepared to strike, but the atmosphere recently changed, leading to the agreement.
