Samsung Electronics announced on the 8th that it has achieved the global sales No. 1 position in the global organic light-emitting diode (OLED) monitor market within one year.
According to market research firm IDC, Samsung Electronics recorded 34.7% in value and 28.3% in volume in the global OLED monitor market last year, securing the No. 1 spot.
In the global gaming monitor market as well, Samsung Electronics held a market share of 20.8% in value, achieving the No. 1 position in the gaming monitor industry for five consecutive years since 2019.

Starting with the launch of its first OLED monitor, the 34-inch Odyssey 'OLED G8 (G85SB)' in October 2022, Samsung Electronics has been targeting the OLED monitor market with the 49-inch Odyssey 'OLED G9 (G95SC)' last year. At CES 2024, the world's largest electronics exhibition held in Las Vegas, USA, in January, Samsung showcased a large number of new OLED monitor products, expanding its lineup.
Samsung Electronics plans to newly release this year ▲ the 32-inch, 4K resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, up to 240Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms (GTG) response time 'Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SD)' ▲ the 27-inch, QHD resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, up to 360Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms (GTG) response time 'Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SD)' ▲ and the 2024 model 'Odyssey OLED G9 (G95SD)' equipped with new features compared to the existing model.
Samsung Electronics’ OLED monitors have also received favorable reviews from global IT media.

North American IT media PCWorld said, "The Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SD) is the most important monitor at this CES," describing it as "a display technology that depicts high contrast and rich colors, along with an ergonomic design." Digital Trends praised, "The OLED G8 (G80SD) equipped with an AI processor automatically adjusts image quality according to the content," adding, "It was the best AI feature seen at CES so far." The Odyssey OLED G9 (G95D) also won the 'Honoree' Innovation Award in the computer peripherals category at CES 2024.
