Lotte Department Store, Recruiting 2nd Generation of 'Kids Orchestra'
Various Opportunities Including National Anthem Performance at Baseball Stadium
Lotte Department Store announced on the 8th that it will recruit the 2nd generation of the Kids Orchestra as part of this year’s ‘RE:JOICE’ campaign.
‘RE:JOICE’ is an environmental, social, and governance (ESG) campaign launched by Lotte Department Store in 2017. Last year, for the first time, it supported children dreaming of a global music stage by selecting 77 members for the 1st generation of the ‘Lotte Department Store Kids Orchestra,’ providing professional training and various activity opportunities, which received great response.
Major activities included the ‘RE:JOICE Concert’ held at Lotte Concert Hall, performing the national anthem at Sajik Baseball Stadium, and releasing carol music tracks. In particular, ahead of the ‘RE:JOICE Concert,’ one-on-one training opportunities were provided with world-renowned artists such as Andreas Ottensamer and Ray Chen.
Lotte Department Store's 'Kids Orchestra' is performing the national anthem at Sajik Baseball Stadium in September last year.

Children from 2nd grade in elementary school to 2nd grade in middle school who are learning instruments played in an orchestra, such as violin, cello, flute, clarinet, and trumpet, can apply. However, to provide opportunities to more children, reapplications from 1st generation members will not be accepted. Applications can be submitted through the Lotte Culture Center website, and after the first round of video screening, auditions will be held in early June for the selected candidates to finalize the members.
