Changwon Park Golf Association Decides to Receive Administrative Guidance from Changwon Special City
Preparing to Transition Management and Operation System for
Normalization of Daesan Park Golf Course
Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam Province, expressed its welcome for the Changwon Park Golf Association's (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Association’) approval of the original plan regarding the city's administrative guidance on the normalization of the park golf course at the temporary general assembly held on April 29.
To ensure the normalized operation of the park golf course, the city proposed two prerequisites as administrative guidance measures to the Association: that the city (Changwon Facilities Corporation) directly manage the public sports facility so that all citizens can use it without discrimination, and that monetary collection through the park golf course be prohibited.
Since the plan for the normalization of Daesan Park Golf Course operation was approved by the Association, the city plans to establish a joint public-private working council to combine the facility management expertise of Changwon Facilities Corporation with the know-how of the Association. This council will deeply discuss matters such as handover, facility usage, and safety education to seek the best operational system, aiming to build the nation’s top citizen-centered system.
Furthermore, to manage and operate the park golf course efficiently and systematically, the city plans to promote the enactment of the ‘Changwon City Park Golf Course Management and Operation Ordinance’ within the first half of the year in consultation with the city council.

Kang Chang-yeol, Director of the Sports Promotion Division, stated, “The ultimate goal of normalizing the park golf course is to enable all citizens to use public sports facilities without discrimination. We plan to transition to an optimal management and operation system and will do our best to ensure that from July onward, citizens experience no inconvenience in using public sports facilities.”
