A man in his 30s arrested for violating drug laws after cultivating marijuana in an apartment in Mapo-gu, Seoul
A man and a woman in their 30s were arrested by the police for cultivating marijuana in an apartment in downtown Seoul.
On the 3rd, the Narcotics Crime Investigation Division of the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency announced that they had detained Mr. A, a man in his 30s, and Ms. B, a woman in her 30s, on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.
Mr. A and others are suspected of recently cultivating marijuana in an apartment in Mapo-gu, Seoul.
After receiving a tip-off, the police obtained a search warrant from the court and arrested them on the 29th of last month, seizing a large amount of marijuana inside the apartment.
The police plan to expand the investigation by tracking buyers who received marijuana from Mr. A and others.

A police official said, "Since this is the early stage of the investigation, we cannot disclose specific details," adding, "We plan to conduct the investigation swiftly."
